Project Description

MDWASD Small Diameter Water and Wastewater Pipeline Improvements consists of engineering services for various initiatives throughout Miami-Dade County for project planning, detailed engineering design development, preparation of construction documents, regulatory permitting assistance, construction bid services, and design services during construction for these system-wide infrastructure upgrades and improvements. This program represents a major initiative that addresses critical infrastructure needs impacting thousands miles water transmission, water distribution, sanitary sewer force mains, and sanitary sewer gravity collection and interceptor pipelines having diameters less than 36-inches providing prioritized improvements and upgrades. The program addresses and improves the majority of MDWASD's water and wastewater pipeline infrastructure that consists of approximately 14,000-miles of small diameter mains nearing or exceeding fifty years of operational useful life.
