LOUISVILLE, AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, KENTUCKY

Corradino has been the project manager for the $860 million Louisville Airport Improvement Program since 1988. This project originally focused on building two new parallel runways. Work included planning, environmetal analysis, engineering, and construction management. Currently, Corradino continues to manage the relocation of six entire neighborhoods through urban renewal, and a voluntary effort in which the residents have petitioned for acquisition. With more than 4,000 structures and 7,000 people to be moved, along with 100-plus businesses, this is the largest Federal Aviation Administration-sponsored relocation program in its history.
