In 2008, Corradino performed inspections on 80 of the SFWMD's 350+ structures (some of the largest surface water pump stations in the world). The inspection program is an on-going effort to inspect each of the structures owned and operated by SFWMD every five years.
Starting in 2009, The Corradino Group has been managing the Bridge Service Program for the South Florida Water Management District.
The SFWMD currently owns 32 bridges which provide access across SFWMD owned canals and to SFWMD structures. Federal law and SFWMD policies
require that each of these bridges be inspected every two years and any necessary repairs be performed.
This project involves first performing comprehensive inspections of the bridges belonging to the SFWMD and preparing inspection reports
detailing the bridge condition and any issues requiring repair. Based on these reports, Corradino then prepares engineering designs detailing
corrective actions ranging from simple repairs to complete replacement. Once the SFWMD approves the engineering designs and hires a construction
contractor to perform the necessary work, Corradino provides construction inspection and engineering oversight on the repair or replacement project
and performs a final construction inspection to assure that all the construction has been performed properly and the defects identified in the
original inspection have been corrected.
Since its inception in 1970, The Corradino Group (Corradino) has become a national leader in the fields of engineering, planning, and program management.
