SHELBYVILLE ROAD PROJECT, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY

Corradino was responsible for providing roadway, civil and drainage design of the Shelbyville Road Safety and Improvement Project located in Middletown. This project included realignment and rehabilitation of Shelbyville Road to improve safety and aesthetics in the Shelbyville Road corridor. The specific design elements included:

Realignment of roadways for traffic calming
Bike paths/lanes
Elimination of roadside ditches
Installation of underground storm sewers
Rehabilitation of roadways for improved safety and drainage
Intersection improvements for safer pedestrian crossing
Landscaping and tree installations
Construction of new sidewalks
Rehabilitation of existing sidewalks
Pedestrian signalization improvements
TARC bus stop improvements
Installation of benches, trash receptacles and bike racks
