A surface flow constructed wetland was designed by Corradino to be built at the southern end of the Clark County landfill to treat the discharge from the leachate collection system.
This project was one of eight landfills selected for accelerated characterization and design. The site consists of two landfills that were permitted, constructed and closed under
different sets of regulations. The cap improvements reduced infiltration into the landfill, which decreased leachate generation.
