DEFIANCE, OHIO, BI-MODAL FACILITY FEASIBILITY STUDY

Corradino assisted the Defiance County Improvement Corporation to determine the user interest and feasibility of a bi-modal/logistics center in the five-county Northwest Ohio region. Part of the assignment included forecasting the potential use of intermodal rail and assessing the cost to develop the site and developing a business case. If the project is feasible.
Corradino concluded that the optimum strategy was not to develop an intermodal terminal, but to upgrade the Maumee and Western Railway from Defiance, Ohio, to nearby Fort Wayne, Indiana
