Corradino serves as the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT’s) Oversight Construction, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) firm on the I-595 Express Corridor Improvements Project,
FDOT’s first concession Public-Private Partnership (P3) contract. Advanced construction activities began in June 2009, with construction expected to continue
through June 2014. The project consists of the reconstruction of the I-595 mainline and all associated improvements to frontage roads and ramps from the I-75/Sawgrass
Expressway interchange to the I-595/I-95 interchange on I-595 for 10.5 miles and from Griffin Road to Peters Road on Florida’s Turnpike for 2.5 miles
(a total project length of 13 miles). This project is being completed within five self-contained work zones to minimize the impact of construction on the public,
improve traffic management, and provide efficient emergency access.
As the Oversight CEI, Corradino is monitoring the P3 Concessionaire's material management and inspection management, as well as the progress and quality of work.
This includes analyzing and minimizing the risk to FDOT, and the financial investment of all parties, by using custom audit checklists.
Since its inception in 1970, The Corradino Group (Corradino) has become a national leader in the fields of engineering, planning, and program management.
