I-75 PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & ENVIRONMENT STUDY, FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The I-75 project includes the addition of two reversible / managed lanes within the median of I-75, physically separated from the existing mainline lanes. I-75 is part of the Strategic Intermodal System and the Florida Intrastate Highway System wich provide regional connectivity between southeast and southwest Florida. These lanes along I-75 will be future link in the managed lanes network that is being developed by the Florida Department of Transportation This includes managed lanes along I-595 to the north and the Palmetto Expressway to the south, as wel as value-priced lanes along the Gratigny Expressway and the Sawgrass Expressway.
The study will also consider the provision of a new interchange, development of a transitway along I-75 and the addition of auxiliary lanes along the mainline. Corradino is performing the study whcich includes engineering, environmental analysis, public involvement, and strategic and financial planning.
