I-69 FROM U.S. 50 TO U.S. 231, INDIANA

The Indiana Department of Transportation completed a Tier 1 EIS for the 142 mile I-69 project and is now conducting six separate Tier 2 EISs. Corradino completed the environmental and engineering design assessments for Section 3, which covers 26 miles from U.S 50 to U.S 231. The project included a strong public involvement component with a full-time project office. Public outreach included a Website, a 1-800 hotline, newsletters, public information meetings, and presentations at public events. A Community Advisory Committee was formed to gather input from and provide project information to representatives of the community. Research and coordination with the Amish community and historic groups were used to determine the existence and extent of any amish historic district. Corradino is now leading the public engagement effort toward property acquisitions as construction begins on sections of I-69
