Short-term career goals for 2006:

Title: Planner
I organize the public meetings, workshops and tours for the Michigan projects. In short…Joe gives me the idea and I make it happen. I help in organizing public information campaigns to ensure maximum community participation.

I also help with entry-level traffic engineering work for access management studies. In every project my job is to take pictures of everything, before joining Corradino I would never have touched a digital camera; today I’m the one you call when you need pictures of something. I also assist with Social/Demographic research of affected populations. In every project there is inventory work that needs to be conducted and I help collect the data and other relevant information.

Navy service
I joined the US Navy in 1990 as a high school senior. In retrospect, it was the best thing I did at the time. The four years I spent in the Navy gave me the time I needed to mature and plan out my future. I traveled to countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. While in the Navy I served as a Search and Rescue swimmer and assisted in several rescue missions throughout the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea.

Other interests:
Mountain biking…I race my bike every weekend. This is my first year competing now I’m hooked!

Next year I plan on competing in Ultra Endurance Mountain biking throughout the U.S. and Canada such as 100-mile races, 8, 12, and 24 hour solo races and a Triathlon.

Community involvement:
I designed the first Mountain bike trail in the City of Detroit. The Mayor’s office granted me the permission to begin construction and will be completed on October 1st, 2005. I raised over $5,500 dollars and recruited over 100 volunteers to help build the trail.
