Public Transportation Implementation Study for the Radcliff/Elizabethtown Urbanized Area in Kentucky

Project Description

Corradino conducted the Public Transportation Implementation Study for the Radcliff/Elizabethtown Urbanized Area in Kentucky. The purpose of the study was to develop a system of fixed routes that will connect Radcliff, Elizabethtown and Fort Knox along with circulator routes in the communities. A similar study was conducted in 2005, just prior to the Defense Department's announcement regarding Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) plans for Fort Knox. The Fort Knox area is experiencing an increase in jobs related to BRAC implementation and will continue to grow and evolve. The study included a step-by-step implementation program for developing public transportation services.
