Project Description

University of Miami School of Medicine & Main Campus Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES) Compliance Plan for DERM for sanitary sewer and pump station systems (Main Campus & School of Medicine) compliance with new MDWASD Volume Sewer Customer Ordinance (VSCO) regulations as enforced by the Department of Environmental Resource Management (DERM) as part of a Private Sanitary Sewer Operating Permit Program. Engineering services included the preparation of site-specific and comprehensive SSES Compliance Plans and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals for the Main Building at the Coral Gables campus and for the School of Medicine's RMSB, Mailman, Calder Library, UMHC, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute buildings. University of Miami Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES) included conducting a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study per Miami-Dade Environmental Resource Department (DERM), "Plan B" requirements consisting of gravity system smoke tests, flow measurement, visual inspections, find-and-fix evaluations of small system repairs and report preparation to demonstrate compliance with Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) Department requirements.
