Adopt-A-Meal Program: Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida

The Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) mission is to to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in South Florida. Their core values – focusing on children’s’ needs, celebrating program and staff diversity, operating with accountability and transparency, and staying true to their 32-year-old heritage – help guide them toward this mission. They strive to be part of the change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their most difficult and challenging times.

On Tuesday, December 20th, several Corradino staff members got into the holiday spirit by participating in the RMHC Adopt-A-Meal program. This program provides a much-needed support service to families who are taking care of their sick children, and often don’t have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal. We were more than happy to provide the gift of a warm, hot meal to families after a long day at the hospital or clinic. Together, we prepared a traditional Beef Enchilada feast that several families enjoyed. And with enough food left over, the families will have one less worry on their mind over the next couple of days. This was not only a great, small act of giving that makes a big difference, but it was a great team-building activity for our work family as well! You, too, can get involved!
