Corradino Gives Back! – Habitat for Humanity Activity

Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to revitalize and strengthen communities by building homes for families in need. Their goal is to create “A world where everyone has a decent place to live.” Habitat offers a “hand up,” not a “hand out,” to very low-income families who are unable to qualify for conventional financing, but are willing to work hard to improve their family’s lives. The success of the organization is also largely based on an array of community volunteers, who assist in the home building, from concept to concrete.

On Saturday, October 12, 2015, The Corradino Group’s Miami-Dade and Broward Public Information Officers spent the morning putting the finishing touches on newly-built homes in Hallandale Beach, FL. With screwdrivers and drills, we were able to bring the houses a couple of steps closer to being homes, while working alongside individuals proudly wearing “Future Homeowner” shirts. Throughout the day, we realized how quickly teamwork can address challenging tasks. The Corradino Group looks forward to participating in Habitat for Humanity volunteer days in the future.
