Celebrating Raynel Arencibia, P.E.
On His Promotion to Senior Project Engineer
We are proud to announce Raynel Arencibia, P.E. has been promoted to Senior Project Engineer for the I-395 section of the transformative $840M I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build Project in Miami. A graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Raynel brings over a decade of construction industry experience, including nine years with Corradino. He previously served as Project Administrator for the I-395 roadway.
In his new role, Raynel oversees construction of the I-395 segment of the project, including the Signature Bridge, a landmark cable-stayed structure poised to redefine Miami’s skyline. This bridge features six soaring arches that span 1,025 feet over NE 2nd Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard. The tallest arch rises to 325 feet, with a main span of 650 feet, and the structure is comprised of 345 precast segments, each weighing approximately 90 tons.
Beyond its architectural grandeur, the Signature Bridge symbolizes Miami’s cultural convergence and commitment to community. The area beneath the bridge is being transformed into the Heritage Trail, a 55-acre urban park designed to reconnect neighborhoods like Overtown, Downtown Miami, Omni, and Edgewater, offering vibrant communal spaces for residents and visitors alike.
Raynel reflects on his journey:
“The best part of my job is working with the team to resolve all of the challenges that arise on a project of this magnitude.”
Please join us in congratulating Raynel on his well-deserved promotion and his continued contributions to one of Florida’s most iconic infrastructure projects!
