Construction Inspector – Central Florida

 

Corradino is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team in Florida. This position is responsible for observing and documenting roadway and bridge construction activities to verify compliance with project contract documents, FDOT standards, and Department procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Observe daily construction operations to verify work is performed in reasonable conformance with contract documents, specifications, and Department procedures.
  • Identify deficiencies or discrepancies related to workmanship, materials, safety practices, and traffic control.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate field records and reports.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with Contractor personnel and CEI management staff.
  • Assist Senior Inspectors in the performance of inspection duties and project oversight.
  • Interact professionally with Contractor superintendents and project personnel to address and correct deficiencies.
  • Assist the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) with Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) inspections when assigned.
  • Perform and document field inspections in accordance with FDOT requirements and project standards.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable safety standards and company policies.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction inspection, including at least one (1) year in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to Florida heat and humidity.

  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program
