Corradino’s Legacy of Leadership in Infrastructure Across the Hoosier State
For over three decades, Corradino has proudly partnered with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), city agencies, counties, and economic development leaders to deliver innovative transportation solutions across the state. From planning, environmental documentation and public outreach to design and inspection, our Indiana-based team brings deep knowledge, lasting relationships, and a track record of delivering complex projects—on time, on budget, and with the community in mind.
Transforming the I-69 Corridor
Corradino’s long-standing I-69 partnership with INDOT began in 2004 with Indiana’s most ambitious highway project to date—the I-69 corridor connecting Evansville to Indianapolis. Our team authored the Tier 2 Environmental Impact Statement for Section 3 and pioneered the now nationally recognized “Kitchen Table Meeting” outreach process, where we sat face-to-face with over 1,200 property owners to review project impacts at their homes—earning INDOT the AASHTO Gold Performance Excellence Award for public engagement.
From Evansville to Indianapolis
Corradino also contributed to the design of multiple segments and provided Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services on four of the last five contracts, including the I-69 Finish Line—the final leg of the Evansville-to-Indianapolis connection. We served as the prime CEI consultant for Contracts 3 and 4 and as a subconsultant for Contract 5, providing project engineers and field staff across all three major contracts:
- Contract 3 – $68 million: Corradino provided CEI services for 5 miles of new interstate and local access roads in Morgan County, including one new interchange and four local road overpasses.
- Contract 4 – $380 million: Our team led inspection efforts for 16 miles of highway and local road construction in Morgan and Johnson Counties, featuring two new interchanges.
- Contract 5 – $728 million: As a subconsultant, Corradino supported CEI for I-69 mainline construction and I-465 lane additions in Johnson and Marion Counties, including three new interchanges.
The corridor’s final segment opened in December 2024, connecting Southern Indiana to the capital with a safer, more efficient interstate system.
