This NEPA Environmental Assessment evaluated the implementation of new commuter rail service along 11.5 miles of the Florida East Coast Railway, connecting Aventura to Fort Lauderdale. The study included proposed stations in Hollywood, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. In 2024, the project achieved a major milestone with the issuance of a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) by the Federal Transit Administration.
