Seventeen school zones were evaluated for automated speed enforcement eligibility based on traffic volume, 85th percentile speeds, and crash history. This analysis supported the City’s implementation of Speed Detection Systems (SDS) aligned with newly enacted Florida legislation and FDOT guidance — enhancing student safety.
